TRUECOPY was founded by professionals with several decades of experience in various industry verticals, specifically in Digital Security. We have built high grade solutions implementing state of art algorithms & standards that are being used extensively by government agencies, financial industry and by corporates.
Our Digital Signature Solutions have cumulatively processed documents whose value runs into many lakhs of crores of rupees. We realized that there is an enormous number of paper documents ("true copies") being exchanged in B2B, B2C and C2B workflows today.
With paper comes significant overhead in terms of resources, printing costs, stationery, storage space, transportation, and time; not to mention wastage and efforts associated with duplication of documents. We also realized that there is significant concern about the validity of paper documents, and no easy way to guarantee their authenticity. It was clear that a secure on-line platform would not only address these significant problems in a multitude of industry verticals, but also provide an eco-friendly alternative that would eliminate the use of paper. This was the genesis of TRUECOPY.
When we started out in 2012, India’s use of digital signatures was limited to signing forms mandated by the Govt. We saw this as an opportunity to bring document authentication solutions to educational institutions to issue electronic transcripts of their students and deliver them securely to receiving institutions and organizations. By 2017, we built a solid sender network comprising of 500+ institutions and a large receiver network comprising of 3000+ universities and credentials evaluation agencies worldwide. We have helped hundreds of thousands of students in their pursuit of higher education by bringing to them our service that is reliable, faster and a lot cheaper than the traditional paper-based transcripts.
Subsequently, we went to companies with our vision. At that time digital signing solutions was a disruptive concept for companies. People had questions on the acceptance of digitally signed documents, the legal validity even. We were fortunate to meet a handful of visionaries who saw the value that Truecopy could bring to their organizations. Then GST happened in 2018. Digital signatures came to the fore and the adoption of digitally signed invoices shot up. Other documents followed the invoices. Purchase orders, Credit/Debit notes, Challans, HR documents, agreements and contracts and so on. Companies stepped up in a big way towards implementing a robust and scalable enterprise wide signing solution from Truecopy to take care of all of their signing needs. The COVID-19 work from home situation accelerated the demand for electronic signing to ensure business continuity. Digital signatures have become an important and essential part of the business world.
